As a community leader, CCF plays many roles in various initiatives and collaborative efforts in the greater Canton community.
CCF believes strongly in taking care of our veterans. The Foundation has historically provided support to veterans through the Annual Veterans’ Summit. This year, we have expanded our outreach.
7th Annual Veterans’ Summit
Our annual Veterans’ Summit, hosted every September, brings experts together with veterans in need of understanding the benefits for which they may be eligible through Veterans Affairs. Our goal is to help educate our local veterans about the benefits that are available and how to apply for them. The event is free for veterans and their caregivers. This year’s summit will be held at Westland City Hall on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. This is a FREE event for veterans and their family members, however registration is required. Health and Wellness
Encouraging healthy living and providing support for health and wellness services is a key focus for the Foundation. Moving forward CCF will focus a great deal of support on a variety of organizations that provide health-related services, including healthy lifestyles for children and adults, wellness activities for older adults, educational outreach and medical research, as well as others.
Canton Relay for Life
In 2016, CCF was proud to be a Jade Level Sponsor at the Canton Relay For Life. CCF combined forces with other nonprofits including Plymouth/Canton Optimist Club, Friends of the Canton Library, VVA 528, Habitat for Humanity and Growth Works.
